I bought a used car yesterday, and I put $30 on gas. And it says it has low fuel. And the gas light is still on. Its a 2007 chevy malibu.

I had a 1985 Honda accord that had the same problem. I took it to a friend that runs a auto shop. He took a look at it and said he had good news and bad news. Good news is he located the problem. It was the fuel leveling sensor in the fuel pump. Bad news is that it was going to cost me more to get it fixed than it would be just to buy a new fuel pump. Im not sure if this is the same problem as they are two different vehicles, but its a start. Good luck I hope you have made a good decision at purchasing your new car.
