Good day.
I got a sorry budget of 4,000 for a used car and i want to throw it all on a smooth-lookin 2007 Chevy Impala with 155,000 miles (yep, that's the only bad thing I can see on the carfax). I wanna get that baby as soon as the dealer wakes up Monday morning.
Should I go ahead with my love affair with Chevy? And maybe just replace the engine later on?

Thanks,

First, always remember that if the car has that many miles, not only the engine is a concern but also the transmission, bearings, sensors, computers and the list goes on. Anything can break or wear out. I realize that cars are running well past 200K miles, but it usually takes putting a lot into the vehicle to get it there. Yes, the engines, if they have been properly serviced and taken care of, will reach that mileage, but everything else seems to fall apart. (this is just food for thought)

So, they are asking 4K for it. Have you made a lower offer? If you really want this car, see if you can get it for less. I would offer 3K and then come to an agreement in the middle if possible,

Let me know.
