BMW 525i 2007

Bmw 525i 2007 is sputtering when it is cranked, worse when it is put in drive or reverse. The check engine light is on. I parked it one night and it was fine, the next morning when it was cranked this started. We changed the spark plugs but it is still doing the same. Just reached 100,000 miles.

First, you need to have the computer scanned to identify why the check engine light is on. Have you done that?

No. I do not live near a BMW dealership and I have not driven the car since it started doing this.

I hate to say it, but that is where you need to start. Anything I would recommend would be nothing more than a guess without the trouble code. If there is a nationally recognized parts store near you, see if they can scan it. They don't have the perfect technology for a BMW but it may get us close enough to get you going.
