Switch from bucket to a three seater

Can I switch out the backseat of a coupe G6 from the two seater bucket style to a three seater from a sedan G6 or any other vehicle so I can have a three seater in the back? Thanks

Good morning,

Yes, you can change it out with a seat from the same vehicle.

The issue is the airbag system. You will need to have your airbag module reprogrammed for the seats.

I didn’t think I would need to worry about airbags for the back seat. And is the four door G6 still considered the same as the two door or would they make the backseat area bigger on the sedan vs the coupe?

No, the area is the same. It is the exterior that is a different configuration.

Your airbag light will be on after this and there will be no protection in an accident.
