My 2006 lincoln Ls overheat in stop on go traffic and while idling, everything work great apart from the overheating issue there is no check engine light. Could it be because I replaced the radiator fan with a V6 3.0 one from a 2005 lincoln ls and my car is the V8 engine

Check to see if fan is correct size and if it's working or not it may not be working or isn't any good

Yes the fan come in on time the only reason am thinking of is because the fan is from on V6 not a V8 so it not providing the nuff air to cool it, as soon as move the car a little and it get some air the temperature guage goes right back down

It may not pull enough air and you need to know if what you had was a push or pull fan it is probably not moving enough air though. Check with an autoparts as they may be different.
