I have the Hyundai Verna 1.5 CRDi VGT and I can hear a howling sound on acceleration. It starts at around 2500rpm when the engine is cold. When hot it start at 1500rpm.
The noise is there while driving as well as stationery, ac off and ac on.

Have checked the turbo inlet but found no leak, even the exhaust manifold is perfect. There is no loss of power or white smoke or any kind of performance issues except the howling noise.

Have done an oil, oil filter, air filter change post the noise but the noise still persist. Have done around 2000kms after the sound started but the sound has remained as is (did not increase or reduce). And there is no issue with the vehicles performance

Have checked the alternator as well and there seems to be no issue found.

Can you pl suggest what all can be done to get rid of this sound?

To get rid of noise you first need to locate the source.
Since you are able to simulate the npoise while vehicle is stationary, that would make it possible to locate the source. Get the noise to appear and after localising the source, check what components are there and if any is possible cause.
