My car is a 1.6 [ Durateck] and clutch has failed - hydraulic fluid just runs out in street.

Can this be repaired without removing engine from car?

Urgent repair is important.

That's not a US sold car so I don't have much info on it.
I can't see why the engine would ever be removed, possibly the transmission if the slave cylinder is internal but not the engine.
