Truck will drive in correct gear for 1st and 2nd, shift to 3rd-computer does not register 3rd gear so 4500rpm @ 35mph. Dropped pan, changed filter, new fluid, I had "wicking" up on the computer module on the bulkhead, cleaned off, reset TCM, all the same codes popped back up. What is the next step before I replace transmission?

have a trans guy scan it to see what the code is it may be in limp mode or a valve body problem.

yep.. sounds like the valve body to me too ...maybe a valve body gasket leak
