I wrote yesterday about a problem I had. I got one response from merlin2021 asking some questions. I responded to the questions, but never received any further correspondance from this site.

The illumination on the light switch box does not work. The local dodge dealer did not do any tests but said that I needed a new switch box. I installed the new switch box works but still does not illuminate when the lights are turned on. When I turn on the fog lights a indicator does light up on the bottom of the switch box.
Do I have a bad light switch box or anothr problem.

Those that I've had apart had a socket with a long stem that held the tiny light bulb. You can get that type of bulb from any auto parts store. My best guess is the new switch didn't come with that socket / bulb installed and you are supposed to transfer it from the old switch. That isn't normal. Usually switch assemblies come with any bulbs already in place.

Common sense went out the window a long time ago. The dash lights are controlled by a computer now, but there are other lights on the same circuit. That would lead me to believe there might be a wiring problem for just that one bulb. If you find other bulbs not working, suspect a problem with the Body Computer.

A friend and me took trhe old box apart and didn't see anything that
looked like a long stem, bulb or LED and don't have any idea where any light comes from.

I'm going to have to wind up a different computer that will allow me to access the Chrysler web site. Service information on a computer is really miserable compared to a paper book, but let me see what I can find.
