Replaced it still have problem and now have a check engine light on and my scanner will not communicate with the computer in the car.

You may want to try another scanner to see if that will communicate? Are you in the USA?

If you are in the USA call your local Volvo dealership to see if they are participating in the Volvo service for life.

Have them scan the control modules for fault codes. Let me know what happens?
