I have a 2005 Saturn Vue 4cyl. About 2 months ago it started making some rattling noises from underneath. When in the car it was more towards the back. I had some guys from work listen to it and they thought I may have an exhuast leak. It ins not getting louder. It only does it when at an idle. Not when I accelerate. There is no performance issue, runs fine, temp is good. It will stop if I am at a stop and take the rpms up to 1k or more. Sometime it sound like the whole undercarriage is going to fall off. I have crawled underneath to look for any holes or anything and do not see any. I know they can be small. Any ideas as to what might be the issue?

Try putting your hand on each side of th gas tank and see if you can feel the noise in there. Let me know what you find.

I could not tell it it is specifically come from there. But the noise comes more from the passenger side. But again when it does it it makes the noise under the whole car it seams.

The vue's had some noisey fuel pump's and some of them got pretty loud. Your going to have to get under there and pinpoint that noise. Let me know what you find.
