Mercury Montego creates sound and vibration between 35 and 45 MPH. So far, there has been no diagnosis though dealer has had the car on road and on lift. What are the possibilities?

The possibilities might include something wrong with the motor/transmission mounts (broken/worn out) A driveshaft/axle problem or perhaps something from a possible incident (ran over something) Is the car at the repair facility now?

We noticed today that the sound really comes from pressing on gas pedal and that there is no vibration or sound when coasting at same MPH. Does this tell you anything?
