2005 Chevrolet Impala coolant system

I hear gurgling sounds behind the dash. The coolant levels seem to be OK and I keep a close eye on the temp gauge. So far, no overheating noticed.I only occasionally use the AC, but this noise occurs when the AC is not running.

Was the coolant replaced or was there any reason for it to have been drained?

Yes, the coolant was replaced about a year ago due to replacing a head gasket.I have driven approx 15,000 miles since then. The problem has only developed in about the past 2,000 miles (off and on). However, lately I have been hearing it more frequently.

Have you checked the radiator cap? If pressure isn't maintained, it can cause a similar issue.
