Having incredibly wierd electrical problems. The first one being very serious.

- Major: When in drive (D) and the underline is under the (D) on the display and the car is moving, randomly the gears shift sporatically between (D), (R), (P), (N) for a split second on each. The underline actually moves between each of these for a split second at each one and then ends up back into drive. And it's actually doing the shifting and not just displaying it. The car jerks for a second when it happens and the locks go on and off automatically because it's going into (R) or (P) for that split second. I actually have it on video as well showing what happens. This seems to be random and has been happening a lot more lately to the point that the car is for the most part inoperable because of the random shifting. I brought it into the dealership a few weeks ago and they didn't find any codes or anything and were not sure what to do. I of course question their expertise. This happened so much about 9 months ago that it blew up my transmission because it had done the shifting into the other gears while driving. I had the transmission replaced, and this went away for a while, but this electrical thing came back up about a month ago and still continues.

- Minor: When I try to increase or decrease the temperature by spinning the dial, the number does not move in relation to how much I'm spinning it. I'll do severall full spins to the right to increase the temp and the digital number on the display might move up 1 or 2, but then it jumps back down 1 or 2. I have to spin it a whole bunch of times and just get lucky for it to increase to where I want it.

- Minor: The air conditioning will go to full fan blowing randomly and I have to turn the fan down in order to make it stop.

- Minor: Lighter plug is inconsistent and works sometimes and twitches off other times.

So things are getting power but there is something very very wrong and glitchy with some of the things described above especially the first one. What the heck can I do? I've run this by many people and can't get any recommendations. Can I replace something? Reset something? Please help with this challenging problem. I need to get this addressed so I can trade this dang thing in for another car.

Chris
