2004 Saturn Vue timeing problem

I went to change the tineing chain tensioner and it jumped time when I took out the old tensioner im trying to put it back in time but the crankshaft doesn't want to rotate to set in time it will turn a little but not enough to set in time I can turn the camshafts around but no the crankshaft is there a certain way to set the camshafts to rotate the crankshaft around to set it in time

Yes, it must be done in correlation to the pistons or you will bend an intake or exhaust valve.
