My dome light popped off in a Pontiac Grand am 2004. How do I reinstall it if there is a black plate over the plastic to click it back in?

The dome light on my 2004 Pontiac Grand Am does not come on at any time unless you push up on the dome light. Could this be a bad connection? How do I fix this problem. Pain to get in the car at night as I have no light to see. Do I have to remove the entire carpeted roof panel to repair?

Im not sure if u could really solve this one but anyway. I have a 350 watt amp installed in my car but everytime the bass hits the dash lights and the dome lights do a small flicker I'm not sure if its a bad ground or what it could be.

350 watt amp... 2 options... Either turn down the bass or you'll need to buy a heavy duty alternator.
