My 2004 Mazda 6 check engine light is on and after scanning it, the codes p2227 and p1487. What part or parts should be replaced in the engine?
Thanks

These codes are for the EGR boost sensor.

I would highly suggest going through and testing the system to find out what needs to be replaced as there are a number of things that could cause this. Most likely it is just clogged and can be cleaned.

However, you can also have a vacuum leak so here is a guide that will help find the leak during that part of the test.

Below you will find all the testing for both codes. Please run through this and let us know what you find with this.

Thanks
