How easy is it to change out a thermostat on a 2004 mazda 3 2.0, and where can I find a schematic. Will I need any special tool. What are the dangers of doing it myself, and how long should it take. My experiance is that I do 90% of all auto maintenance

Remove the under cover and splash shield as a single unit.
Drain the engine coolant.
Position the coolant reserve tank out of the way.
Remove the plug hole plate.
Position the drive belt out of the way.
Remove the drive belt tensioner.
Remove in the order indicated in the table.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Add engine coolant.
Inspect for the engine coolant leakage.
