You might be experiencing brake pad glazing if you feel a vibration or shudder:
* Brake pad glazing is caused when the brake pad friction material is overheated and creates a crystallized friction material on the pad surface and the brake disc.
* Common glazed brake pad symptoms include poor stopping performance, vibration or brake shudder, and cracks or fissures in the brake pad material.
* Installing brake pads on a rotor that has not been resurfaced (if not new) will cause friction material transfer. The old Friction material will transfer onto the new friction compound and cause glazing condition. This condition is more present when switching from semi met to ceramic.
