2004 GMC Sierra Truck quit

Sierra 6.6 diesel engine started up, backed up 2 feet and quit. Tried starting and turned over rapidly but would not start. Had mechanic stop by with diagnostic tool, but no error codes came up. With 4 day holiday, no one to look at it. Someone said this 2004 model had "problems" @ this mileage but couldn't remember. What he'd heard. Any ideas I can try?

First I would check all the fuses with a test light.

Fuel pressure is the other issue. The filter may be clogged and need replacing or the fuel pump may have failed.

There is no such issues associated with mileage.
