I have a Pt cruiser when it is parked and drops below 500 RPMs its starts soundign like it will die would that be a spark plug? Last night I took off from a stop light and my check engine light came on and the car starting******** and actting like it wanted die when I gave it gas what would cause this?

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis,finding out what's going on.
