Got a good one for you folks the wife's '03 saturn L-300, 2.2L, the speedometer on mileage jumped from 86,976miles to 398,989 miles over nite, just dropped it off at the dealership, and theyre diagnostics team is Baffled? Any thots would be appreciated >

Thats a bad body control module I have replaced a lot of them for that reason at the saturn dealer. Really common.

Im excited, one qstn though, what is it and where is it at, is it built into the PCM? I've looked in all the refrence manuals I have and cannot find it i.E. "Chilton" and "Haynes" manual and thank you for ur assistance, I was thinkin I was gonna have to replace her speedo module.

Its a computer all by itself its on top of the glove box on the outside of the glove box. It slides into a channel on the glove box. If you take all the all the screws out and the glove box door the glove box slides out and you will see it. You will have to have a gm dealer replace it it has to be programed and mileage programed in etc. It controls inside lights keyless entry power door locks security shift interlock solenoid all the body controls. It even figures stores and displays mileage on the cluster.
