Hi all. I just bought a used 2003 Pontiac Vibe. The check engine light is on, and I was wondering if someone can tell me how I can find out what error is? I have heard of a scanning tool, but don't know the specifics of where to get it and how to use it. Thanks in advance for any guidance.

They have some basic code readers that are pretty cheap and easy to use I have even seen them at costco at one time. They have some cheap ones at harbor frieght tools etc. If you get a code reader and get me he exact code numbers I can help you out with that.
