My chek engine light has came on and now as I am waiting at a light it kinda jerks then when I take off it is hesitant at first. What could be the problem and how costly is this going to be? Is it better to start looking for a new car? Also my heat stopped working.

Well you will need to have the car scanned for codes this will give you a idea of the cost. Prob not anything major tune up or sensor.

No heat first check the coolant be sure it is full. If coolant is ok prob new thermostat will fix it
