My discovery Trans mode selector only works in low range and will only change from normal to manual. It will not give sport mode in low and does nothing in high range. The original window sticker says it had the mode selectable trans. Is this the trans ECU or is there some other common problem that causes this? Has Bosch 4.6L V8 and OD auto trans

I would be thinking that it may be a control module fault, unfortunately Land Rover systems normally can not be read by generic readers, even top of the range units, so a dealer will have to do an initial scan and report for this problem.
