I have a ford taurus and the engine light keeps coming on and once I have it looked at the code always comes out I need an oxygen sensor. I keep replacing it and nothing seems to work. What could my issue be

The problem is diagnostic fault codes never say to replace parts. They only indicate the circuit or system that needs further diagnosis. The actual sensor in question is only defective about 50 percent of the time. You need to check the wiring and make electrical tests to make a diagnosis.
