2003 Ford Fiesta Starter motor

Had a intermittent problem with starter
I got a new one started fitting it but forgot to disconect the
Battery
Soon rememberd with sparks started flying
Then I disconected battery
Finish fitting the starter motor
When I try to start the car there's nothing
Could I have blown a fuse

Thanks
Any help would be appreciated

Since you shorted the battery, I would start by checking to see if it is still good. If it is, check to make sure there is power getting to the starter. I don't recall for sure, but I think there is a fuseable link between the battery and starter that can cause a problem and check main fuses.
