I experienced a LOUD intake manifold backfire while idling at a stop light (4.7 V-8 engine, 2003 Dakota). Truck did not miss a beat otherwise (no other signs such as rough idle etc.). Also, the truck responds and pulls strong from 0 to 60 thru all gears (indicating to me it is NOT starving for fuel)! Truck is not throwing any sensor codes (currently). Could my issue me a failing crackshaft sensor or camshaft sensor?
