I just had my power steering pump replaced and now it's driving worse than before. Wheel almost impossible to turn. Before changing the pump my main difficulty was when I reversed. Any clue as to the next course of action?

Did you troubleshoot the issue, before you replaced the pump? Did you bleed the system after pump was replaced? Usually, I take the return line loose from reservoir, aim into container, with belt loose, turn the pulley with your hand see if you can get fluid through the system and out the return line. Don't let the reservoir get empty. If you can't get any fluid out, you got a blockage, somewhere. Maybe a problem with hose or rack has a problem. With fwd, I call the steering assembly, rack and pinion, different makes and models have different names for it.

You can safely raise and support the vehicle, front wheels off the ground, then see if you can turn the steering wheel. If no luck, remove tie-rods from steering knuckle and move tires in and out by hand.
