No power and wont accelerate

My car was sitting in my driveway through all winter. The bettery was dead, I tried to jump it but wont work so I got myself a new bettery. Now the car would start but there is no power (windows, door locks, alarm, radio wont work) and car wont accelerate. I can hit the gas pedal all the way but no noice and RPM would stay at 0. Also, I can't shift my gear so I had to manually put it in drive; doing that would roll my car for min speed but won't accelerate. It's strange. Any idea?

Check the fuses to see if any are bad.

Looking at fuses does not work. They might look good but are not. Use a test lamp or DVOM.

Check for loose wireharness connectors.
