Check engine light is on automatic door will not.

Check engine light is on automatic door will not work. Dealer can not find problem. Altinater was replaced and light ent out and door worked for about a week. Light is on and door not working again. Dealer said to replace computer at $4000 and it may solve problem. Car runs perfect for age and milage. My thinking is that it some sort of electrical since all was ok when altenater was replaced. Please help

What is the code? The light went out after they put the alternator on because they had the battery cable off.

4000 for a computer, that is absurb. You need another opinion from another shop

Are there any trouble codes?
