Do you have any codes?the drive axles are all the way in?really doesnt make sense why two transmissions have the same issue. There must be a problem with the car somewhere or you just have really bad luck with transmissions. I would like to help you with this problem. I have a idea of what's going on though.

Rebuild the pump?Your barking up the wrong tree my friend I have taken apart alot of these transmissions and the pump isnt what fails. Its usually a clutch piston that engages the clutch pack for each gear.Even then its not a super common thing that happens. The most common things that happens on those transmissions is the input shaft nut loosens up.Or the pressure regulator bore in the valve body of the transmission wears out and causes too high or too low of transmission line pressure. I know these transmissions and cars well iam a factory trained saturn tech. So the original transmission did the exact same thing would not move in forward or reverse and thats why you changed the transmission? Also every transmission you have tried to put in since has been the same way?

no the transmission was slipping and shifting bad. well now with the car up in the air when I put in gear the tires turn but the car on the ground i put it in gear nothing happens so that would tell me some type of pressure problem how can I go about diagnosing that thanks for all your help

Have you checked to see if there are any codes setting? It sounds like it could be electrical issue honestly what are the odds you get two bad transmissions with the same symptoms.

Also heres a important question did you make sure that the torque convertor was fully inserted into the transmission before you put the transmission in?
