Have 2002 Saturn SC-2 with a 1.9 DOHC bad engine just want to buy used engine what years are compatible?

We always used the exact same year used engine when we replaced them at the saturn dealer.I would stick with the 2000-2002 dohc saturn S model engine's. There is a couple of earlier year engine's then that I think that would work if you changed the intake and some sensor's etc. But if you stick with the 2000-2002 dohc the intakes, injectors, sensor's wire harness should match up. Let me know how it goes.
