I disconnected the negative battery cable to perform some minor maintenance. The car ran and started fine prior to this. When I reconnected the battery the car started and ran for about 3 seconds and shut off. Now that is all it will do. I also noticed that when I turn the key the following things occur; the trunks unlocks, the electric door locks don't work, the fuel gauge doesn't work and the car will not go out of park. (Thought about trying to start it in neutral). Help

The inop gas gauge power locks and cant get it out of park sounds like a bad body control module those symptoms are common when they go bad. The symptoms can vary but those are some of the most common ones.I have seen people jump start the car or unhook the battery and rehook up the battery and the body control module fails.I would check for codes and make sure all the fuses are good. If you had a professional scan tool you could see if you could talk to the body control module.
