How to replace the knock sensor on a 2002 Nissan Xterra with a Super Charger. Also, where is it located? Thank you for your support & concern. All are doing great providing superb answer.

Service engine soon light came on. Our Hobby shop mechanic connected a code reader & said the knock sensor is bad.

3 hours for a shop to replace it. A code number never identifies a bad part, just a failed system. To throw a 200 dollar sensor in on a guess is expensive.

The intake manifold needs to be removed.

Get a shop to confirm this before you spend this money.
