I have an 02 nissan altima that runs fine while in park, but when I put it in gear it only idles. When I press on the gas the engine does not rev up. It just idles. While in park or neutral it revs just fine. The brake and battery light came on but there was no change in the cars performance. A couple of days later the check engine light came on and the problem I stated earlier began. What is going on?
