2002 Mercury Sable engine/transmission

I am trying to take out the motor. I have unbolted the motor and have began jacking up the motor but it wont come out. I don't see anything on the outside that is keeping it in. On the new motor I purchased it looks like there may be something lining the two up. Does the motor have a spindle or an internal rod connecting the transmission inside?

They should go out the bottom not the top first thing. Have you disconnected the torque converter and trans bolts? Is there any accessories like pulleys, alternator still on it? They all have to come off if you are trying to pull from top. Exhaust disconnected?
