2002 Mercury Sable DTC PO301 and rough idle/acceleration.

My 2002 sable just started running rough, so I bought code scanner and received po301, po316. I am having plugs and wires replaced, air filter, fuel filter and oil change. Should this work. Also on startup I get the smell of burnt oil but can find no leaks.

Hello,

P0301 is a misfire in the #1 Cylinder
P0316 is Engine Misfire Detected on Startup (First 1000 Revolutions)

A tune-up may fix the misfire. Other causes are Vacuum leaks, leaky injector, failing coil pack, Failing Plug Wire.
