You said one way to test the a.I.S. Is to remove it. Then turn the ignition on But leave the wires connected. But not to start the motor. Movement should be seen. However, what I want to know is how much movement should there be. Also would this vary a little from one system to another. The vehicle is a 2002 sedona ex. There is a chance the replacement one may not be good. Idle is either high. Above 1700, and or flunctuates for a bit then settles high. This happens every time it is used. It is also a used vehicle.

Is the Check Engine Light indicating?

Amount of movement is dependent on the engine temperature.
If replacement s a used unit, I would not discount the possibility of it being faulty as well.

Is condition before and after replacement identical or are there any difference?
