Shows gear box fault shifts slow after stopping does not register mph

You will have to go get a transmission scan done, there are many things that can cause this, so a scan will help identify this problem.

Thanks I have one other Question if car is moving 35 40 mph an is shifted from drive into neutral will this damage the transmission

That will not hurt the transmission, but the engine will rev its head off until you back off the throttle.
