Instrument panel totally failed

I have a 2002 CRV.I had an incident where the instrument panel totally failed. All lights, gauges and accessories went completely dead. As I drove the battery started to drain until it was dead. I took it to my mechanic and he couldn't find the problem but said it definitely wasn't the alternator. What could it be?

WITH A TEST LIGHT CHECK THE FUSES

WHAT IS THE VOLTAGE AT THE POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINALS WITH THE VEHICLE OFF?

WHAT IS THE VOLTAGE AT THE BATTERY TERMINALS WITH THE VEHICLE RUNNING?
