2002 GMC Yukon, 5.3, When the ambient temperature drops below freezing my idle is very irregular, almost dying, until the motor warms up. When the ambient temperature is higher, the idle is not as irregular. Any suggestions?

Any diagnostic trouble codes? Noted problems with this engines intake gaskets leaking vaccum causing lean condition/misfire codes. Affected greatly by tempature/ also try cleaning throttle plate with appropriate cleaner and brush to eliminate dirty throttle bore.

Only trouble code was random misfire at one point but I changed plugs and haven't had it since. The service engine soon light would come on but not stay on

I may have mispoke previously, initially the vehicle idles high, then when it kicks down, that is the point in which it begins to idle irregularly
