2002 GMC Savana oil pressure

Oil pressure is excellent until engine reaches running temp (120). Then the pressure will drop from 40 to around 20. When it idles pressure goes to zero or just above and I have to keep it revved to keep pressure up. There is no engine rattle, oil and filter are new and full

It might be a bad oil filter can cause that with engine hot 20 psi is ok at idle. It may be a switch or gauge aswell.I only recommend Purolator, wix, napa and or bosch as it's manufactured by Purolator. AC is ok too
