Ball joints are the most likely cause of these noises but control arm bushings can do that too. Have it inspected at a tire and alignment shop right away. Ford has way more than their share of steering and suspension parts that separate and cause a crash. Most other brands give you months of warning in the form of clunks and squeaks. Fords often give you only days or a few weeks warning.
If the ball joints need to be replaced, ask if some are available with grease fittings. That design lasts a lot longer and is more reliable, but you'll want to mention those grease fittings when you take it in for an oil change. Many mechanics don't look for them because they weren't used originally.
