At first there was a hissing sound from around the pedal area when I pressed the brake, then the brake warning beep and light came on and now the pedal has gone right down to thr floor, I was wondering it it was the servo or something like that, can anyone offer any advice please.
Regards Scott.

THE HISSING IS PROBABLY THE BOOSTER IT MAY BE DEFECTIVE OR MAY BE HISSING BECAUSE YOU SAY THE PEDAL GOES TO THE FLOOR (MIGHT BE A NORMAL SOUND PUSHED IN THAT FAR)

HAVE YOU CHECKED YOUR BRAKE FLUID LEVEL?

IS THERE ANY BRAKES AT ALL?

I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU DO NOT DRIVE THIS VEHICLE IN THIS CONDITION

IF YOU HAVE NO/ OR ARE LOW ON FLUID, INSPECT THE COMPONENTS OF YOUR BRAKE SYSTEM FOR EVIDENCE OF LEAKS

HAS THERE BEEN ANY DIFFERENCES IN YOUR BRAKES RECENTLY?

YOUR TURN

Sorry,
The brakes still work but the pedal is very close to the floor, it just feels like there's no resistance there but there is still something there, when the light first came on I topped up the fluid and it went off for a few days but came back on.

Do they fail the panic stop. Look at the master cylinder is fluid leaking down the booster? If the master is low thats why. Youll need to replace both. Youll need to adjust the rear brakes if the pedal is still low. Ty for using 2carpros

WHAT'S THE LEVEL LOOK LIKE NOW?

STILL FULL OR HAS IT DROPPED?

HAVE YOU LOOKED AT THE INSIDES OF YOUR TIRES FOR BRAKE JUICE?

HAVE YOU LOOKED UNDERNEATH FOR SIGNS OF BRAKE JUICE SPLATTER?

REALLY WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE PRESENT LEVEL!

THE BOOSTER IS THE LARGE DRUM THINGEE THAT THE MASTER CYLINDER IS MOUNTED ON

IT OPERATES USING VACUUM AND ASSISTS YOU IN PUSHING THE BRAKES--BRAKE PEDAL WOULD BE HARD TO PUSH WITHOUT IT

IF YOUR MASTER CYLINDER ITSELF IS LEAKING, IT COULD BE LEAKING INTO THE BOOSTER---YOU WILL MOST LIKELY SEE BRAKE JUICE LEAKING WHERE THE 2 PARTS MEET

THIS HISSING COULD BE FROM THE BOOSTERS DIAPHRAGM BEING COMPROMISED BY THE BRAKE JUICE

GO BACK DO ALL OF THE CHECKS

LET US KNOW WHAT YOU GOT GOING ON

Just to add to this one you can rent a hand vacuum pump to test if the booster is leaking vacuum or not. You can also unbolt the master cylinder and look to see if the master cylinder is leaking where the booster presses the master cylinder. Merry christmas everyone.

Morning, I can't find any leaks anywhere but the brake fluid is right down below minimum again so it must be going somewhere.

Reckeck all brake hoses. If u have drums youll need to remove the drums to check for leaks. Look at the inside of rear tires. Lean down and look at them. If u see fluid pull the drums the wheel cylindes are leaking. Bleed the master to check the fluid presure. The fluid is going somewhere. What hole on the master is leaking?
