I have a 02 dodge stratus and I live where it's cold. I can hear a crackle/popping noise coming from the front of my car usually when putting my car into drive and when accelerating. I don't hear the noise when my car is parked only when im driving around.

Any help would be great, thanks!

Do ou have rice krispies under the hood? Lol. You may have some low octane fuel doing this or the knock sensor isn't picking the noise up. Hav eit scanned for codes to see if anything comes up.

Lol dont think so and don't think it's the fuel i'm using because i've always used regular. About it being scanned, don't you usually do that when your check engine light goes on?

Yes but sometimes there are intermittents that will cause the light to blink. The only other thing you could do is have apro give his opinion because it's very hard for us to make a correct dianosis not being able to hear it and pinpoint when it happens or the sound to lead us in the right direction.
