Engine Mechanical problem
2002 Citroen C2 Automatic 70000 miles

As I am travelling around 70mph and beging to slow withoutout braking, my car is making a grinding noise, it also happens when I depress the clutch, any ideas?

I drive a Citroen C2 1.4 VTR and it does the same when I use the brakes. Like metal on metal scratching. Maybe the brake discs need to be changed? Am I right?
