Can I disconnect the oxygen sensor on the front manifold without doing damage to the engine on my 2001 toyota solara convertable sel v6 automatic transmission /?

Engine check light will come on, fuel economy will go out the window, emissions will not meet correct specs, you may experience rough idle and power problems for the engine, in short if it is fault, just replace it.
