I have 2001 Saturn SL1. The starter is turning over very good but not engaging with ring gear. Starter gear not moving forward to engage, so just spins without turning over motor. Juts not engaging with ring gear so the gear is not moving forward to engage

Your only fix is to replace the starter. If you want to do this yourself, let me know and I'll send you the procedure.

But if you don't have much experience, I don't advise doing this.

We did replace the starter already one month ago!
