I have a 2001 Saturn sc2 I am trying to replace the front hub assembly and I just can not get it to come out. And with the new one it has a snap ring the hub and bearing are all apart and I have to put it together and I am not quite sure how to do that I've replaced wheel bearings before but not like this

The Bering has to pressed out of the knuckle after removing the snap ring. Then press the new Bering in put the new snap ring in. Then you have to press in the hub which you can use the axle nut to press that in. To doing the Bering you have to remove the knuckle and use a press or get a on car wheel Bering press.

You don't have to remove the strut you have to pop the lower all joint loose and slide the axle out of the hub. Also of course unhook the outter tie rod rod from the knuckle. If you use a stand up press you have to remove the knuckle from strut.I have a on car wheel bearing press from harbor freight works well. You just have to always turn the nut side and make sure the nut is on the side facing the bearing pushing direction. Using that you won't effect the alignment or have to remove the knuckle from the strut. You can find a 25 or 20 percent off coupon also.
